Pack your own food

When you are on the go you are unsure of the availability of food and if it will be to your liking. In order to avoid this dilemma, always pack your own food before heading out.

Plan your meal timings

Every morning you will have a good idea of how your day is going to be and hence you can plan the times and the intervals in which you have to go without food. Based on this you can plan a heavy or light meals during breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Avoid binging on food during dinner

If at all you are travelling the whole day, make sure you always munch on light snacks at all times so that at the end of the day you are not ravenous. Count the calories that you eat and make sure it is within 1500-2000 calories per day.   

Eat from a side plate

The best way to reduce quantity eaten is by reducing your helpings and the best way to do this is to eat out of a side plate.

Local produce is always the best choice

Choose fresh food, and more often than not, it is the local produce that is most fresh. Exotic fruits and vegetables may or may not be fresh depending on the place that you are in. Stale and processed food is a definite no-no.

Avoid eating high calorie food after 6PM

Choose your dinner or supper in a way that is high on proteins and nutrients. Meat and vegetables would be the best options with a little carbohydrate. 6 PM must be considered as the deadline after which any food consumed is excess.

Run and Swim

Make running and swimming your standard workouts on a daily basis. Hit the pool and shed all the excess pounds gained during the day.
